Donray Von

Donray Von is a senior advisor to Catalyst and advises the firm on diversity and inclusion matters.

Donray links investors and family offices to opportunities in technology, media, real estate, and financial inclusion. To date, Donray has been involved in four acquisitions and co-invested alongside Google Ventures, Guggenheim, TPG, Wellington and Lower Case Capital.

Donray was a transformative figure in the entertainment industry for over two decades, beginning his career consulting and managing music superstars including OutKast, The Roots, K’naan, and Cody ChesnuTT.

In 2012 Donray partnered with Nick Gross, son of bond guru and Pimco founder Bill Gross to establish a fund focused on investing in opportunities at the intersection of media and technology. That venture was fueled by capital from the Gross Family Office.

For his next phase, Donray aims to become a leader in the economic development of minority-owned businesses by bridging the gap between capital providers and business owners with the potential to scale.
